i hate distortion pedals... you want good sound? get a tube amp (if u can afford it of course. if not the valveking is cheap) and all you need on ur pedal board is a crybaby, a boss sd-1, and maybe an eq or a noise gate.

I have this pedal and I can tell you ...it's awesome..and all I play is Metallica... :) I'm kidding...it's not all I play, but mainly...So yes, you can play metallica with it.you just need to be patient and try out different dialing...freq/contour gives me headache till I make it right :)

Dang - that JH sounds better than I thought it would(in the begining dimed). And yes, the SXXX control is a very appropriate term. Careful, you might start a viral youtube trend.
If you dimed the OD ever so slightly I can definately hear some keith richards in there with that tele. Learn some start me up chords for your tele/od demos :)...coolio
