the two jerks below are giving people false hopes. The only way you can over rev an engine is by turning the engine by the rear wheel forcing it mechanically past the rev limit. Revving a bike on its stand will do fuck all to the motor you retards. The ignition is cutting out pure and simple. Load or no load it makes no difference. 17K RPM is 17K RPM driving or not driving dumbasses, its crank speed

gsxrk6charlie you are talking total bollocks, sure the bike has a rev limiter but its under no load when being revved stationary, the rev limiter is to stop you over revving it when its being ridden, chances are if they carried on doing that to that bike it would start to spit out valves etc, these morons need to get a life and learn how to ride a bike instead of trying to impress people like this.
